This nationally recognised accident investigation course covers the processes involved in systematically investigating incidents, and identifying the underlying cause or real cause of the accident or incident. Understanding and identifying the real cause of an accident is paramount in minimising workplace incidents.

The Easy HR Accident Investigation training course is designed specifically for Workplace Health and Safety Officers who may be required to investigate workplace accidents.

This course gives Accident Investigators the basic investigation skills needed to carry out workplace accident and incident investigations.

• Course Assessment
  Participants must complete the take home assignments in order to be issued with a statement of attainment.
  
  Assessments for qualifications are competency based, which means students are assessed against the unit of competency (unit) requirements.
  
  Students will receive a 'Satisfactory (S)' or 'Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS)' result.
  
  When a student receives a satisfactory result for all assessment tasks a 'competent' outcome will be awarded for the unit, and a Statement of Attainment will be issued.
  
  If you are not happy with your grade, you can complete the online assessment appeals form.
  
  
• Course Certificate
  Participants must complete the take home assignments in order to be issued with a statement of attainment. Participants who do not complete the assignment within 60 days of the course, and who do not request an extension, will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
  
  This course is nationally recognised and your certificate will be issued under the Australian Quality Training Framework standards.

• Course Duration
  The face to face component of this course is 1 day.
  We allow a maximum of 60 days to complete the take home course assignments.
  
  There is no minimum time to complete the course.
  
  If you feel that you need a little extra time, please contact us, as we may be able to provide an extension for a small additonal fee. This fee may be waived at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.
  
  
• Course Entry Requirements
  There are no academic pre-requisites for this course.
  
  If you choose to study this course online, you must
  * have access to an internet enabled computer.
  * be able to play flash files on your PC
  * you may find it easier if you have access to a printer.
  
  Students will be expected to communicate with their trainer/assessor via email. If this is not possible, students can book a phone meeting at a mutually convenient time.
  
  You must be located within Australia, and not hold a student visa.

Should you wish to purchase additional texts, or resources you may do so, but you will be required to pay for them. The course fee includes an initial and subsequent review of your assignment.
