It pays to have first aid skills because you can't learn them in an emergency. This CPR / Resuscitation course provides the skills necessary to recognise and then manage a casualty who is unconscious and is not breathing. CPR is a life saving technique which can sustain life until an ambulance crew arrives.
Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, require that CPR refresher training is undertaken every 12 months.
This course was previously known as HLTCPR211A - Perform CPR.
All students are required to competently complete practical demonstrations and must complete the multiple choice theory paper. If a competent mark is not scored, the student will have to pay a re-assessment fee of $30.
Students must be 14 years old on the day of course completion.
Students to provide a pen and note pad and wear comfortable clothing.
Students must be able to kneel over a casualty.
