We recommend all existing Safety Committee members and Safety Representatives participate in a Consultation Refresher course at least every 2 years. This will ensure that they maintain the essential knowledge required for them to perform effectively.

Course Overview:
Under the NSW Occupational Health & Safety
act, all employers have a duty to consult with
their employees. This obligation may
be met by establishing an OH&S Committee or
an OH&S representative. Both committees
and representatives must be trained in order to
understand their role and to carry out their responsibilities
effectively.
This course is designed for those who have previously
attended an accredited consultation course, but
who need a refresher course.
