NEW WORKCOVER NSW POI REQUIREMENTS CAN BE FOUND HERE
Workcover NSW determines suitable methods of determining participant identification. These requirements are subject to change from time to time. If in doubt as to whether your identification documents are suitable, you should contact Workcover NSW or Easy HR.
At the time of writing, Workcover NSW has implemented the following requirements:
OPTION 1
1 Document from Group 1
1 Document from Group 2
Valid Example: NSW Drivers License + Australian Passport
OPTION 2
1 Document from Group 1
2 Documents from Group 3
Valid Example: NSW Drivers License + Medicare Card + Credit or Banking card
OPTION 3
1 Document from Group 2
2 Documents from Group 3
Valid Example: Current Overseas Passport + 2 Different Credit or Banking cards
Valid Example: Non NSW Drivers License + Medicare Card + Credit or Banking card
OPTION 4 - School Students Only
Documents as described in Group 4
Group 1 (Full Documents)
• NSW drivers license (current or expired up to 2 years with card number)
• NSW RTA photo-ID card ((current or expired up to 2 years)
Group 2 (Workcover Primary Documents)
• Certificate of Aboriginality
• Current Photo birth card issued by NSW registry of Births
• Australian birth certificate showing parental details, provided a passport or an official Australian travel document is also shown
• Australian Citizenship document issued by DIMIA
• Current consular photo ID card issued by Dept Foreign Affairs and Trade
• Current photo ID card for NSW police or Australian Defence force - excluding civilian staff or family
• Current RTA issued NSW photo firearms license or one that expired within 2 years
• Current Document of identity issued by the Australian passport office
• Australian Immigration papers issued by DIMIA
• Drivers license from another state or territory or one that expired within the last 2 years
• Australian Naturalization certificate issued by DIMIA
• Australian passport or one that expired within the last two years
• A current overseas passport.
• Current NSW RTA Issued security license or one that expired within the last 2 years
Group 3 (Workcover Secondary)
• Passbook Account statement up to 1 year old
• Current Credit / Account Card
• Current Australian government Entitlement card (Centrelink, Health Concession, etc)
• Current Australian Medicare Card
• Electoral card or evidence of electoral enrolment up to 2 years old
• Australian defence discharge papers up to 2 years old
• Education Certificate of Enrolment up to 2 years old
Group 4 (School Students)
School students must provide:
• Birth certificate
And one other form of proof from
• Current student identity card up to 2 years old
• Student library pass up to 2 years old
• Student bus pass up to 2 years old
• Credit card / passbook / or similar document up to 2 years old
• Mobile phone account in their name less than 1 year old
